Trust & Safety at Rwendo

Your Safety is Our Highest Priority

From mandatory identity vetting to live GPS trip sharing, every feature on Rwendo is designed to protect Zimbabwean highway travellers.

1. Comprehensive Identity Vetting

Every driver is verified once before their first trip: Zimbabwe National ID, VID/CVR driving licence, a live selfie matched to the ID portrait, plus CVR registration, ZINARA disc, motor insurance and VID fitness for the car.

2. Check-in PIN protection

Every booking gets a private 4-digit PIN. Share it only when you are boarding the right vehicle — it is what records that you travelled, and it is your proof if anything goes wrong.

3. Live Journey Sharing

With one tap, share a live public tracking link with family and friends. They can follow your highway progress in real time without needing a Rwendo account.

4. Emergency SOS & Incident Desk

Built-in emergency buttons with accidental-press protection notify your personal emergency contacts and direct-dial Zimbabwe emergency responders.

Safety Tips for Highway Journeys

✓ Meet in busy, well-lit public landmarks

Always choose designated pickup hubs such as Sam Levy’s Village, Roadport Terminal, or Ascot Shopping Complex.

✓ Match the vehicle registration plate before boarding

Check the vehicle make, model, color and registration plate against what is shown in your boarding pass.

✓ Keep check-in PIN private until seated

Give the driver your 4-digit boarding code only after you have met and are ready to depart.
